The construction industry is facing one of its most significant changes for a decade in the way construction products are sold in Europe.
From 1st July 2013, under the Construction Products Regulations 2011 (CPR), it will become mandatory for manufacturers to draw up a declaration of performance. They will need to apply CE marking to any of their construction products, covered by a harmonised European standard when that product is put on the market.
As a notified laboratory under “The Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 Annex V- testing Laboratory, we are able to conduct testing of your product to provide the compliance data needed to gain your CE mark.
We act as a Notified Body for the ‘Directive 2000/14/EC on the noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors’ and its amendment 2005/88/EC. The directive requires the manufacturer, or his authorised representative (importer), to have a Compliance Certificate for each type of equipment covered, before they are placed in the EU for sale. We are able to provide both sound testing and certification.
