Monitoring

Our specialist services to monitor and assess noise, vibration, dust, air quality and odour employ the latest technology to provide remote access to data, helping to address issues quickly and to protect our clients.

Monitoring

From demolition to new build, we deliver environmental monitoring services that help to protect our clients, including reporting to meet their requirements and preparing management plans to handle issues.

All our monitors conform with MCERTS, BS7385 part 1 and BS5228 part 1 and 2, as well as Section 61 applications (CoPA 1974) and Air Quality and Dust Management plan technical requirements.

Monitoring periods can be short, medium or long-term and we can include liaising with Local Authorities and other stakeholders.

Noise

All our unattended noise monitors allow remote access to data and instrument status for the project team. Our monitoring web portal also provides alerts for site staff if noise thresholds are being approached or exceeded, allowing them to quickly address the cause.

Vibration

Our vibration monitors can capture Peak Particle Velocity (PPV), Vibration Dose Value (VDV) and Root Mean Square acceleration in three dimensions during monitoring periods. As with noise monitoring, clients have access to a web portal and live alerts.

Dust

During periods of demolition in busy urban environments dust can be a real issue. Our dust monitors record Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5) and TSP (Total Suspended Particulates) and, again data is accessible through our web portal and live alerting.

Air Quality

Air quality monitoring can be carried out for a range of pollutants and purposes. We can provide diffusion tube monitoring or near reference live AQ monitoring.

Odour

Construction projects, waste handling (including anaerobic digestion) and mineral extraction all have the potential for adverse dust and odour impacts. Monitoring, modelling and mitigation strategies can be developed to handle these issues.

For added reassurance, we have AMInstNDT accredited consultants who provide comprehensive support. All our site visiting staff hold valid CSCS cards.
